Orange County Record Contacts
Orange County's custody and records functions use different lines. The Orange County Sheriff's Department headquarters and jail complex are at 550 N. Flower Street, Santa Ana, CA 92703. Inmate Records confirms current county custody at (714) 647-4666 and operates around the clock. The CPRA unit takes public-record requests at (714) 834-3999, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Public Counter is at (714) 834-6454 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the Records line uses the same number through 5 p.m. Holiday hours should be checked before a visit.
Choose the office by the record and custody stage:
- For a county booking record or photograph, use the OCSD CPRA request route described on the Orange County records hub.
- For an immediate county custody check, call Inmate Records and use the authenticated OCSD locator.
- For an Anaheim, Irvine, or Santa Ana police report, contact that city's police records unit because OCSD may not hold the incident report.
- For a warrant concern, use Orange County Superior Court and the safe routes on Most Wanted Fugitives.
- For filed charges and case outcomes, use Orange County Superior Court criminal Case Access.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use CDCR's CIRIS locator or CDCR Public Records; for federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator.
